give
give is a typeface I designed to create an awareness of the shortage of blood due to a decrease in blood donations. It created a non-intimidating way of talking about the topic to encourage others to consider donating blood.
Since the pandemic started, the Red Cross has been experiencing a shortage of blood donations. Several stations had to shut down due to safety precautions, and people became hesitant to donate. The Red Cross has since stressed the extreme need for blood at this time, and has assured that it is still a safe process.
They typeface featured characters with two elements: a solid element and an outlined element. This was to represent the two bodies involved in blood donation; a giver and a receiver.

My classmates also each created their own type for their own cause, and at the end of the semester we all got to display our type in an exhibit. The time-lapse shows the process of us setting up our exhibition.
